Main Applicant on ILR, dependent extension

Hi All

Wasn't able to find this answered anywhere so hoping one of you can help.
I am eligible for ILR from Nov 2022 while my spouse is eligible (on PBS dependent route in April 2023) but both our visas expire in Jan 2023.
1. Will I be able to include them as a dependent on my ILR application or do I have to make a fresh application for them?
2. Given they would need an extension for just 3 months, is there any shorter extension than 3 years (it's too expensive for just 3 months :()

1. Your dependent makes a separate application either at the same time as you or later but must apply before their visa expiry date. If your ILR fails, their application will also fail.

2. No, nothing shorter. A PBS Dependent extension is for 3 years as stated in the immigration rules. What date was your dependents first visa start date?

Thank you!! Start date of their visa was 18 May 2018

One more question sorry, when my Tier 2 was granted my job wasn't on shortage occupation list but it now is so will I have to apply their extension on shortage or non-shortage occupation category?

It is based on whatever your last COS details are.
