Yet another continuous residence question :)

Sorry to resurrect this thread but I had questions specific to my wife's case that I hope someone can help me make sense of here.

Tier 2 dependant visa #1 issued -12/11/2016
Date first entered - 26/11/2016

Tier 2 dep. visa #2 issued - 05/12/2018 (renewed same time as mine which started earlier in 2015)

Tier 2 dep. visa #3 issued 1/12/2021 (after I got ILR) and expires 19/08/2024

Absences from UK
2/3/2017 to 2/11/2017 (245 days)
23/11/2017 to 29/06/2018 (218 days)
15/07/2018 to 06/09/2018 (53 days)
No absences since then.

Are absences before January 11 2018 calculated differently by the consular officer (i.e. consecutive instead of rolling 12 month periods) or disregarded entirely? And in that case should I only consider absences after 5/12/2018?

Apologies if this has been answered before.
