IRL application - Dependent english test requirement

Hi there guys
I have recently applied to the IRL for me and my family (wife and 3 year old daughter).
My current visa is Skilled Worker (formerly TIER-2).
Our current situation is: I have been working for the NHS since I moved here in 2016 with my wife. She currently does not work, although she managed to become a doctor in the UK. In order to be able to register as a doctor at the GMC (which is a public regulated professional body), she had to prove proficiency in the English language (she took both the IELTS and the OET for that).
I have today received an email from the home office today stating that her application cannot be approved due to the fact that the certificates we sent are expired and that she'd need to send a valid certificate within the next 10 business days.
The IELTS expired a bit longer ago, but the OET has only expired in January this year, so the response makes sense. We had the plan to apply for the IRL in December/2021 or January/2022 so the OET would still be valid, however we had to postpone due to not been able to afford the application cost. We then finally applied in March/2022, but didn't pay attention to the expiry date thingy
The biggest issue we have at the moment is that our baby is born in 2-3 weeks and she won't be able to do that at all.
My main questions are:
- If we don't provide the document, what will happen to her status?
- Would we be able to secure some more time for the document to be sent in a later stage, given her pregnancy?
- Would my application and my daughter's application have the chance be approved in case we don't provide her evidence?
- Wouldn't the fact that she is has become a doctor with the GMC approval (a professional public body) be enough for the home office to consider that her english is ok (reinforced by the fact that her OET expired only 4 months ago)?
I understand some questions will have no answer based on the legislation but anyone's experience in a similar scenario is very appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
