I'm asking on behalf of a friend who was dismissed from work in June for gross misconduct (internal matter, conflict with a colleague, no legal/police involved). But he's served 12 years in uk and is eligible for LR application. Will this affect his ILR (LR) application?

will the employer tell the Home office the reason of his departure?
