Date of visa stamped : 24th Aug 2017
End date : 14th Aug 2022
Please advise what shall I do (visa extension or ILR )
Many thanks in advance.

Apply for ILR as closest to your visa expiry date as possible. Then have your Biometrics done when you actually qualify (after the 10 days). That should be fine.
This question is asked almost everyday here.

They just told you precisely what to do and you are still "really confused what to do next"?
As the previous poster has said, this question is asked every time yet the solution is as simple as the poster has stated.

The status and circumstances of the main applicant may be more relevant to your question. For example, if s/he has no ILR nor is applying for ILR, under Tier 2(General)/Skilled worker route, then you cannot apply for ILR as a dependant under this route.

If they grant him ILR under the Tier 2(General)/Skilled worker route, then you are okay. Just apply for ILR
between Wednesday, 27 July 2022 and shortly before your leave expires.

No. He applies before visa expiry and books his appointment for a date that he is eligible for ILR

Hi, I have been told and also seen on HO guidlines that the time difference between when you've arrived in the UK and when you're BRP expires is taken into account and not held against you as long as you arrive within the UK within 3 months of receiving your initial entry clearance. They dont count this as not being in the UK for exactly 5 years so can just apply for ILR as soon as eligible which is 28 days before BRP expiry?

ILR query

Hi,
Below para is taken from page no 9 in the Calculating continuous period pdf dcoument.
Calculating the specified continuous period
Applicants can submit a settlement application up to 28 days before they would
reach the end of the specified period.
You must calculate the relevant qualifying period by counting backward from
whichever of the following is most beneficial to the applicant:
• the date of application
• the date of decision
• any date up to 28 days after the date of application
Experts, Could you please advise what does it mean date of application?. As per my understanding , it's date when we submitted the application initially (almost 5 years back).

This question is asked almost everyday here.
My first BRP date is 15th Aug 2018 and the visa issue date is 24th Aug 2018. Is that ok to proceed with BRP date?. I don't understand How come BRP date prior to visa issue date.

That is the date of your ILR application not the previous visa applications

Set(o) Dependent - Need your advise

Hi all,
My husband has done Biometric on 7th July through propriety service. We haven't got any response from HO case worker. Today we have escalated to UKVI , raised complaint and raised to Local MP to speed up the process. Looks like our Local MP has forwarded our case to HO. Hopefully will get the positive response shortly.
Spoke with one of UKVI agent today. He is saying there are quite lot of backlog escalated tickets atm. They not sure when he will get the response. He don't have any information except raising ticket no. We worried and very much stressed. What shall I do next please advise?
Another thing , We need to apply ILR for me and daughter before 12th Aug. Our BRP expiry date is 14th Aug. We really not sure whether he gets his decision before that?. We really don't know what happens he don't gets decision before 12th Aug. Kindly advise.
Thanks in advance

You must wait to hear back, it should take some extra days. There is nothing you can do.
