Hello.
for ILR through Tier 2 general, one of the requirements is that employer should mention that I will be needed for the foreseeable future.
What if there’s only few days left with this employer while making ILR application but I have secured job with another employer.
If the current employer is happy to write that I will be joining the new employer and therefore needed for foreseeable future. Will it be fine?? I will also get employment letter from the new employer.

Please suggest
Thank uou

You cannot work for a new employer until you are granted ILR. The requirement for ilr is that you work for your tier 2 sponsor and are required by your tier 2 sponsor for the foreseeable future.

A new employer letter is irrelevant to your ilr application as they are not your visa sponsor and your current employer writing what you suggest will almost certainly result in a refusal of your ilr application.

Just to add that if you are planning to change employers, you must apply for a new skilled-worker sponsored visa rather than ILR as your ILR application certainly fails. It is only after getting the skilled worker visa with the new sponsor that you can apply for ILR

Hi,
Actually when I applied for ILR, I was working for my previous employer and I was hoping to get the biometrics appointment before my contract ends. However, I got biometrics appointment a week later than my current contract end date. I was just wondering whether my application date counts or the biometrics date with regards to my ILR application?

Many thanks

I am not following your situation. Have you applied for ILR or not ?? Are you currently employed by your sponsor or not ???

Hi,
My current job contract ends on 2/08/2022.
I applied for IlR on 27/07/2022 planning for biometrics before 2/08/2022. However, the earliest biometrics date I was got is on 12/08/2022.
My previous employer mentioned that I am needed for the foreseeable future and I have the letter from the new employer.
I was just wondering that is it still ok to go ahead with this application or I need to be in the tier 2 with the new employer.
*I was with Tier 2 with my previous employer when I applied for ILR on 27/07/2022.
Thank you

Are you currently working for a new employer??

You really have complicated your situation. The fact that your previous employer letter states you are needed for the foreseeable future, when you have actually left their employment, could be seen as false misrepresentation.

If they needed you for the foreseeable future then they cannot be your 'previous' employer. ILR very likely will be refused. You are NOT allowed to work for a new sponsor without getting a new visa :!:
