Travelling While ILR Application is in Progress and having Valid Visa

Post by sam1182 » Mon Oct 03, 2022 2:11 pm

Dear Members,

Please advise, as My wife has applied ILR recently on 10 Year route, and her current Spouse Visa is valid until end of 2023. Is she allowed to travel abroad ?

As some posts are quite confusing about the travel while ILR is in progress

Any advise or help is highly appreciated.

Kind Regards
Sam

Is she allowed to travel abroad ?
No she cannot travel while an application is pending. If she does, her application will be treated as withdrawn and she loses the fee paid. This is very clearly stated on the UKVI website.

When her visa expires is completely irrelevant. She should have traveled first then and applied when she returned.
