Renewing foreign passport whilst ILR application processing

After submitting an ILR application online, can the applicant's foreign passport be renewed? Will this affect/cancel/delay the application?
My wife is a Thai national. She was granted FLR(M) on 12 December 2017. She will be applying for ILR (5-year route) on 15 November 2022 with super priority service (all being well), aiming to book a UKVCAS appointment on/after 12 December.
Passport renewal takes 4-6 weeks via the Thai Embassy in London. My wife has an appointment to submit her passport renewal on 16 November after applying for ILR on 15 November.
Is there a risk that the ILR application could be affected as a result of her passport being renewed by the Thai authorities during the process?

Don't see any reason why it should affect her. Passports are valid till the last day. The ILR isn't linked to the passports.
She should be fine, provided it's valid till she does her biometrics.

She will need to show a valid passport at her biometrics appointment. Does she need to leave her passport with the embassy while it is being renewed? If she doesn't get the passport back in the 45 days window she might miss the biometrics deadline.
