Dear Admin/ Moderator ,

we are in urgent situation. Seen this few ILR threads with same situation but unable to comment as its locked not able to comment. @Zimba @ywlgy @admin @Moderator help here . Forum thread below

We became eligible for ILR in Oct'22 after completing 5 years in Tier 2 General Visa. However when we initiated the application for ILR system didn't locate sponsor license - no curtailment letter from HO .EmpWe came to know that the Sponsor Employer license of my company expired a while ago ( A very small company who took the license solely for sponsoring me) had no clue - so immediately requested for a new sponsor license for the company which got approved earlier this week. Our current visa status is expiring on 14th Jan 2023.

We are planning to apply for the Tier 2 visa for the main applicant. In this situation and attaching it to the COS priority or Super priority to do this before Visa expiry date. Can some one help on the next steps here if we are on the right track. We dont want to miss anything to apply for ILR.

Similar to @Mathew J W , @tarbrk13, Please can admin request to share his experience since his ILR got approved OR May I request Admin/Moderators to provide more details what I must do in this situation?

Any help and advise much appreciated.

I suggest getting your sponsor to seek advice from UKVI before you initiate your ILR.

Impossible for them NOT to know. UKVI send out multiple emails up to 3 months in advance of when the licence expires advising to renew in good time.

It is also well documented and details in the Sponsor Guidance notes.

Hi CR001,
Thanks for your response. I agree this should have been notified, Its a small firm and during covid, my wife was on maternity. Not sure if they have overlooked it.

As the Sponsor license is renewed now, Looking to extend the Visa for the main applicant on a safer side. hopefully this will help to establish the Visa status back without creating any issues in ILR application.

If you have any pointers in this direction, please advise.

Hi Zimba,
Thanks for your response. We are trying to visa renew for the main applicant visa to regain the status before Visa expiry date(14-Jan-2023). Once we have the visa renewal done via Super priority/ premium processing we would like to check from UKVI. Do you forsee any issues if we go through this route/direction. Please advise.

Kind Regards,

I can't tell you what you should expect. This is up to UKVI.
