Hi All,

My one month visa vignette for my Tier 2 General Visa was issued from 01 Mar to 31 Mar 2018. I traveled to the UK on 20 Mar 2018.

Based on advice on the Visas and Immigration website - I am eligible to apply for ILR based on the 5 year route starting 28 days before 01 March so I have started my application.

I had two questions however:
a) There is a question called:
"When did you first enter the UK? (Required)
This is the date you entered the UK when the period of stay you are basing this application on started."

This would be 01 March 2018 right? Even though thats not the date I actually entered the UK, or should I put 20 March 2018 here since thats the day I physically entered the UK.

b) My understanding is that since I am applying based on my Visa Vignette days and not the actual entry to the UK, the additional 20 days (01 Mar to 20 Mar) would be added to the absences outside the UK for the 180 day calculation. However, does it mean I need to specifically add those to the "Details of your time spent outside the UK and Crown Dependencies"? If yes, what would be the "When did you leave the UK and Crown Dependencies?" answer since this was before I entered UK in the first place.

a) the question is quite clear it asks for the date you Entered the uk. It is not asking for the date your visa was issued. UKVI do know the rules.

b) Yes, it counts towards your absence limit. No need to mention. UKVI know the rules.

I had three queries related to supporting documentation for my ILR SET (O) application and thought I'd ask here.

For Background - I have been here for 5 years on a Tier 2 General/Skilled Worker Visa.

1) The checklist generated by the online form asks for these two things:

• Current Biometric Residence Permit for Mr X

• Evidence of Mr X's immigration status in the UK

Isnt my BRP itself evidence of my immigration status in the UK? What else can I provide here?

2) It did not ask me for any English language certification(s). I am from India and had submitted the NARIC attestation of my university degrees being in English when I applied for the Tier 2 visa originally. Should I upload them again OR leave it since they haven't asked for them specifically.

3) The checklist generated by the online form asks for these two things:

• document from the sponsor who issued the certificate of sponsorship that led to your last permission to
  stay as a Tier 2 migrant confirming that you are:
  still required for the employment in question for the foreseeable future, and in the case of Tier 2
  (General), Tier 2 (Sports Person) and Tier 2 (Intra Company Transfer) migrants this document
  should also contain................

• Letter(s) from employer(s) detailing reasons for work-related absences including periods of paid annual
  leave from the UK and Crown Dependencies for Mr X

My employer has only provider one letter to me, it mentions all the things asked for in the first point i.e. code, salary, joining date etc.

However with regards to the second point - it only mentions two sentences - along the lines of "X is entitled to Y number of leaves in an year...X has not taken any unpaid leaves"

Is this level of detail sufficient? I saw online that some people submit detailed tables from their employers mentioning each and every holiday that they have taken. I wasn't sure if that is necessary since I don't have it.

1. BRP is enough
2. Upload the old NARIC
3. Your letter is sufficient

I applied on Friday morning and got the approval Saturday morning (normal priority not super)
