Can we as an applicant using solely our own income for SET (M) ILR application

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice regarding ILR SET (M) application. Has anyone here had a recent successful ILR SET (M) application using solely your own salary to meet the financial requirement?

I’m on a spouse visa (FLR 5 years route) and I’m currently in the process of applying ILR SET (M). I have a full-time job and my salary alone is more than enough to meet the financial requirement (using category A). My husband is a British citizen and his income alone also meets the financial requirement. He is a director of a specified limited company, therefore his income will fall under category F.
My question is, can I apply the ILR SET (M) using solely my income alone? Or do I need to include my husband’s income in the application? As his income is fall under category F, there are lots of financial documents to provide. When I extended my spouse visa 2.5 years ago, I include both my salary (which already met the financial requirement – Category A) and my husband’s income (category F) which also met the threshold, to support the application. I was wondering if this was actually unnecessary and a bit overkill. I remember spending most of my time preparing his financial documents. I don’t really want to do it again if I don’t have to.

I’m just a bit confused about whether the home office requires both incomes (from the applicant and the partner) to be presented still even though each of us already earns more than £18,600.

I also read in the other forum that HO requested 12 payslips and bank statements when an applicant is using their own income to meet the financial requirement. This makes me even more confused as the guidance FM Section 1.7 on financial requirements requires 6 months of payslips and bank statements.

Many thanks in advance for your advice and feedback.

If you meet the income threshold alone, then use your income solely. There's no requirements for both to meet it.
In some families, only one person works.

Stick to using your own income as it meets the requirements. A lot of hassles on getting tight documents as you already experienced before if going with Cat F.

I’m just a bit confused about whether the home office requires both incomes (from the applicant and the partner) to be presented still even though each of us already earns more than £18,600. No

Is it what you read on a forum of the guidance from HO that you will go by? 6 months payslips and corroborating bank statement is enough

Many thanks in advance for your advice and feedback.

Hi AmazonianX and Ticktack,

Many thanks to you both for your reply to my question. I applied for ILR using solely my own income (Salaried Employment Category A), went to a Biometric appointment on Wednesday, and my application was approved precisely 2 hours 9 minutes later. The BRP is arriving today. Thank you for your advice. It is much appreciated.

All the best.
