ILR apply date falling short by 23 days

Hi,
I would like some guidance to discuss my current visa status (Tier 2 General Visa) alongside query for applying for ILR in July 2023.

To start with, below are some key dates with respect to my current Tier 2 general visa:
CoS assigned date: 14 Jun 2018
Work Start date (as per CoS): 20 June 2018
Work End date (as per Cos): 19 June 2023
Visa application payment date: 29 Jul 2018
Visa Start date: 24 Aug 2018
Visa End date: 03 Jul 2023

If I follow the date rule for applying for ILR which is “Visa Issue Date + 5 years – 28 days”, it is coming out as 26 July 2023 (24 Aug 2018 + 5years – 28 days) which is falling short of current visa end date by 23 days.
As per the above details, I would like to understand the options to apply for ILR in July 2023 itself or do I need to get a ‘Three year Tier 2 general visa + IHS’ for 23 days and then apply for ILR?

Thanks in advance.
Regards
Anuj

Not sure there's anything like IHS for 23 days.

Apply for you ILR just a day or 2 before you visa expires, then have your biometrics done within the 28 days that you actually qualify.

It should be fine.

Hi, Just another query on this please.
what process will I need to follow for my daughter who was born in UK. She will not need ILR but how can I apply for British citizenship when I'll be applying for ILR just 2 days before my current visa expiry?

You will need to be granted ILR first. Then you apply to register her as British using form MN1: https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/product/mn1
Overstaying for such a child does not matter

Hi Moderators

I've following this below topic and have asked the user for update on the visa application for ILR but this topic is now locked and there is no update which I can refer to.

Is there something where the topic can be opened again and checked with the original post user?
