Global Talent to ILR

I am currently an Exceptional Talent Tier 1 visa holder and in the process of applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR). I have come across some conflicting information regarding the English language proficiency requirement for Exceptional Talent Tier 1 visa holders.

According to the information provided on the gov.uk website, it clearly states that Exceptional Talent Tier 1 visa holders are exempt from providing English language proficiency. I have attached a screenshot and the link for your reference:

https://www.gov.uk/english-language/exemptions

However, when I attempted to apply online, I encountered a section where it requests evidence from ECTIS (English Language Testing Information System). This has caused some confusion and uncertainty for me.

I would greatly appreciate your guidance and clarification regarding this matter. Based on the information provided on the official government website, it appears that Exceptional Talent Tier 1 visa holders are indeed exempt from the English language proficiency requirement. I would like to ensure that I am following the correct procedure during my ILR application.

The information in the link you referred to is incorrect. Note that the information on the Gov.uk is not entirely reliable. The rules and the official guide requires you to meet the English language requirement as usual for settlement under the Global Talent route
