Hi all,

I am on a tier 2 visa and will complete 5 yrs in UK in September 2023 and will be applying for ILR.
My dependents ( spouse, kids ) were on tier 5 visa till April 2019, when they became my tier 2 dependents. ( PBS)

Query 1 ---Does this mean that their time to apply for ILR comes only in April 2024 ?

Query 2--- what is the kind of visa I need to apply for them from this September as all our visas expire then ?

They apply to extend their PBS Dependent visas before their current visas expire. It will be a 3 year extension.

Query 1--is there a way to extend the PBS dependent visa just only for a year ?

Query 2--- as I am a NHS worker ( skilled worker tier 2 visa from hospital ), are they exempted from paying health surcharges ?

1. No, the immigration rules state an extension will be for 3 years if the main PBS visa holder gets ilr. There is no discretion on this.

I am in the process of applying ILR for myself ( set O).

For my dependents ( spouse and kids) do I start another application as they have to apply for PBS dependents visa, or do I add on another application in my existing ILR one?

You cannot add them to your application as they dont qualify for ilr.

They have to apply separately, each, for a pbs dependent extension

When my dependents apply for PBS dependent visa extension, the details of my current certificate of sponsorship is what I can give, but which expires end of September....is that okay?

The PBS Tier 2 route does not exist anymore. They will apply as family members of the Skilled Workers

The application link for children is separate as you see.
Again, they are NOT applying under PBS dependant route. The PBS dependant route does NOT exist anymore

Hi,

I have used the above link for my dependents, which to extend their skilled worker dependent visa, but the final payment page mentions as PBS, Global talent , innovator dependent type of visa.

Has anyone found the same ?
