Gap between jobs and out of country

Dear all,

Please could I check with you regarding my situation? I am on track to apply for my ILR in Sept 2023. However, in the past 5 years, I have changed three employers and have been on three different skilled worker or Tier 2 visa.

After ending my first job, I had a 5 weeks gap whilst waiting to start my second job and I also travelled out of the country for 5 days during this time.

Then, after serving my notice for the second job, I had an another 4 weeks gap and I travelled back home for 3.5 weeks during this time before starting my current job.

However, I was offered the jobs and had agreed the start date with both places so the employer was aware of the gap and happy with a later start date.

Therefore, my questions are as below please:
Will this affect my application as I was technically unemployed during those time?

How should I mention the absences in my letter from employers?

Do I need to mention them in my letters from employer?

I am not too sure how to show these period of absences are “paid AL”.

Many thanks in advance

Thank you for your reply!

How do I go about mentioning these dates in my application as I was out of the country?

These dates do not need to be on the letter from employers?

Many thanks

There's a section in the application where you can add when you were absent from the country. Also you scan and submit all stamped pages on your passport.

The current employer can mention in the letter that your absences whilst working for them were authorized.

The gaps when switching jobs are irrelevant.
