Hi, I have a specific question on the Set M form I'm completing for my wife.
Form asks if partner (me) has any any children living in uk from previous relationship?
My son lives with us, he is severely disabled, needs 25/7 care and is why I am enemy from financial requirements because I receive Carers Allowance....
However, my son is actually 20 years old now and receives Universal Credit in his own name with me as his appointee..
Question is, should I be putting him on the form as a child from previous relationship, OR should I add him in the section where it asks about Other People living with you?
Any help much appreciated, Thanks!!

Yes, your son is your child and he lives in the UK.

Both. It really doesn't make any difference. The HO just needs all data, as that could easily be found out on the voters register as well. So you need to be transparent.
Any help much appreciated, Thanks!!

Thank you so much for such a quick reply!
I was worried that the HO may say my son is over 18 years old so not technically a child, and then penalise us for putting him in the wrong section of the form.
I have always used an immigration lawyer to get the past spouse visas, but this year his fees have increased dramatically and I thought I should try to do the ILR by myself.
Am I right in thinking there is much less things to prove and less documents to send for ILR than before?
I am exempt from the financial requirements as I receive Carers Allowance for my son, so I assume I should just prove Adequate Maintenance and do the calculations against a family claiming Income Support? Also, I have some savings and am I right in thinking that for ILR I should divide the amount by 52 weeks and add as a weekly income?
Thank you so much for your help!
