Hi,

We are applying for ILR via 10 year London Term residence route.
My partner is homemaker. We have passport showing 10 year travel history. She has been in UK for 10 continuous year. She is registered with GP since she came in UK and is on uk electoral as well.

For her application I don't have any other document proving 10 year stay like her bank statement , utility bill etc in her name.

Can you suggest what is possibility of making successful ILR application?

She doesn't need any documents like that for ILR based on 10 years long residence. Where did you read she needs these?

She only needs her passport(s) for the whole 10 years, LIUK test, English B1 test and obviously has to complete her own Set LR form.

I am also going through ILR process and solicitor is asking for me - 2-3 document for every year for last 10 years. For me I have documents but for my partner I don't have.

None of these documents are required. Your solicitors is giving you incorrect advice. You also do NOT need a solicitor for Set LR applications.

Not required for either of you.

Do not submit unnecessary documents.

It sometimes appears the solicitor wants applicants to present loads of unnecessary documents just to appear they are busy and trying to justify fees being charged.
You are at a point of doubting your solicitors commitment and or professional knowledge now.
ILR LR application requires the barest minimum documents so far applicants qualify in own rights, let not ring be rum around you.

Solicitors request a mountain of documents as if the process is fairly complex and demanding to justify their extortionate fees :?
Funnily enough, sending mountains of unnecessary documents to the UKVI may have the opposite effect on an application, making it end up at the bottom of the pile and delayed.

Hi,

Thanks to all of you for taking time to read my query and responding.

Just to be clear I am on Tier-2 Established Staff visa.
How do UKVI verify your continuous legal stay for 10 year ,is stamp on passport is enough?
Do you know any one who got ILR without providing additional document to prove continuous legal stay?

If ILR is declined can I appeal based on Passport stamping as document?

Sorry for asking so many question, but its important for me to clarify these.

UKVI relies on the best evidence they have to make any decision. They rely on the data from their systems, border checks, exit checks, airline data, passport stamps or any data they have access to to obtain a view of all your absences from the UK. We do not know what is their procedure and how they do it but it is not unreasonable to believe that they have a system (possibility a specialised software system) assisting them in the decision-making process. You do not need to worry much about that. They will ask for more evidence if they think it is needed

Hi,
As mentioned already I am on - "T2 ICT LONG TERM LEAVE TO REMAIN"

and my partner is on "PBS DEPENDENT LEAVE TO REMAIN"

My partner and kids have completed 10 year in uk and I want to apply ILR for them.

I am seeing there are various options others are using in the forum like SET(O), SET(M) etc which are confusing.

Can you please point me to the online link to apply for ILR for my partner and my kids please?

If it's 10 years of lawful residence - SET(LR).
