hello,

I will soon be applying for my wife's ILR & I have some queries regarding ILR application process. Please can someone help with below query:

ILR application will be by 5-year spouse visa route. She received her first spouse visa BRP on the 02-November-2018. Her current BRP expires on 02-December-2023. Please can someone confirm what earliest date she is eligible to submit her ILR application?

Thanks in advance & appreciate all the help and support we get from this forum!

What date did she enter the uk on her spouse visa? This is the start of her qualifying period. She can apply for ilr in the 5th anniversary of the date she entered the uk, minus 28 days.

Thanks for your quick reply. She was already in the UK on student visa. We got married in the uk and she got her spouse BRP. The start date on her first spouse visa BRP was 02-November-2018

Then 2nd November minus 28 days is the earliest she should apply. Visa expiry date is the latest.

That is very useful information. Her latest BRP expires on 02-December-2023. So am i correct that she can apply on or after 07-October-2023? I used date calculator for 2nd November minus 28 days. just making sure that it is not 28 working days.

Also I have few more questions:

Q) can we start filling the online form before 07-October-2023 and then we can just submit the form on 07-October-2023 or after ?

Q) is there an option for priority service?

Q) Also after getting ILR do we need to wait for 1 year before she can apply for naturalisation?

Q) is there an option for priority service? You can only know this at time of submission.

Q) Also after getting ILR do we need to wait for 1 year before she can apply for naturalisation? Are you a British citizen? If yes she can apply for naturalisation immediately after getting ILR otherwise wait for 1year.

Thanks for your reply. The automatically generated letter has HR e-signature.
Also does the same apply to bank statements? Can i download the bank statement from online banking and then take a black & white printout for the bank statements?

Hello thanks for all the help. I will keep trying. Just to confirm my wife is applying for ILR on 5 years route. which is i guess called Set (M). Does anyone know if this is the option for super priority or priority? I understand that i need to keep trying but just want to check if this is a option for priority or super priority?

For set m you can apply for standard or super priority if it is available. There is no 5 day priority service for set m.

Hello,

Thanks for all your help I was able to get super priority appointment at 1AM in the night. So thanks for the valuable information sharing.

One more question when I am uploading the scanned document, I scanned all my document in colour. Is it ok to upload these documents in colour or do i need to rescan all my documents in black and white.

Again thanks in advance for all the advice we receive here.
