I'm sure these queries have been asked before so apologies.
My wife is applying for ILR at the end of the year.
She will need to pass the KOL test and also the English language test. I've downloaded the approved test centres from the gov website but there a ton of different exams offered, which one is needed for ILR please?
Also I am self employed so how many years of my accounts would I need to submit, and for my wife how many years of payslips and p60 certificates for her?
And regarding bank statements how far back do we go for these? With regard to the bank statements, with not having paper statements am I correct in thinking we print them out and get them stamped by the bank?
I'm not sure if I recall that they have to be printed out by the bank themselves...?

How are you aiming to satisfy the requirements? Under which catagory ? If your partner meets the requirements, then she does not need your income.

The 10-year partner route has no financial requirement. She maybe better off applying under the long residence ??

Hi all,

My wife will be applying for ILR through the 10 year partner route at the end of the year. From posting on here before I believe she isn't subject to the financial requirements. So to confirm we won't need to submit her (or mine) bank statements? Also we won't need to submit her payslips (or my self employed accounts)?

This is what we are getting ready for her application.
Her BRP
Her passport (expired) all other passports she has held since being in UK
My passport (British citizen)
Her birth certificate. My birth certificate?
Our wedding certificate
Our kids birth certificates (British citizens)
A letter from her employer stating how long she has worked at the company her role etc
House deeds
Mortgage agreement
Bank statements from the account where the mortgage payments are paid from
Recent letters/bills addressed to us to show we are still co habitating
English language test
Knowledge of life test

Is there anything that can be omitted?
I'm also assuming we will need more proof of the continuous 10 year period like letters, bills, bank statements, payslips from throughout the 10 years?

Blimey, it seems there's a lot less to submit then I would have thought.
If you don't need any proof of living here how do they conclude you've been here 10 continuous years-is it just based on the passports?

It is based on having family visa over the last 10 years. There are no absence limits at all under the family route

So I've got the ball rolling with my wife's application -10 year partner route- for the question

I am applying as a partner
I am applying as a parent
None of the above

I've ticked the applying as a partner option but the next page says -who is the person you want to remain in the UK-? Which makes sense. But then it says - this will be used to link your application to theirs-
But I'm not making any kind of application (as a British citizen) this has confused me slightly, should I have ticked none of the above? Or just keep going with the questions even though I'm not applying?

I tried the none of the above option and it won't let me continue..so I'll keep going with my original answer!!

Choose the partner route and just go with that. The fact that you have no application is irrelevant. The forms are not totally intelligent.

So my wife hasn't managed to pass the life in the UK test after trying. She has another booked in for this week but there is no room for error this time as she won't have time to book another test before her visa expires if she was to fail again. If she isn't able to pass it at this last attempt I'm assuming her only option then is to apply for further leave to remain. Very frustrating as everything is in place apart from this test!

There are many mock tests online, if she practices just those then she should pass without any issues
