ILR for child born outside of UK with constant visas for 7 years

Dear Boards,

My child was born outside UK and moved to the UK when she was 1 year-old with me.

Now she has been living here for 7 years with legal visas as our dependant.

As the parent, I will qualify for ILR on my innovator route mid-2024.

I am wondering if I can apply for her 7-year private life ILR right now on her own?

Look forward to your responses. Thanks!

There is no magical or automatic 7-year path to ILR for children. The dependant children cannot benefit from changes introduced under the Appendix Private life rules. The recent changes under that appendix only benefit non-UK born children who have been granted leave under private life. The dependant children of migrants will follow the same path as their parents and settle when both parents settle.
