Dear Moderators and Gurus,
Can you please tell me about the requirements when applying for ILR long residency? I've been here in the UK since 10th May 2012.Thank you so much!

Previously, all leave may be included under
Long residence. Unfortunately, some people at the Home Office had misinterpreted these simple rules, blamed others and
retrospectively complicated them to exclude certain categories
Appendix V: Visitor, Appendix Short-term Student (English language), or Appendix Temporary work – Seasonal Worker, or any relevant predecessor routes
to suit their misunderstanding.

Thank you Vinny!
My husband forgot to renew his British Passport. Is it OK to send his full birth certificate? Also they asked to send my children's passport but they haven't got one. They were born in UK.They're asking as well for my bank statements from 2012 but I don't think I could go that far back.Thank you!

Yes, if necessary, then send scans of husband’s and children’s full birth certificates. They should also be able confirm his British citizenship via his expired passport.
Send
evidence to show that you have been lawfully and continuously living in the UK for at least ten years (with leave that are not excluded), including scans of all your passports’ pages during the relevant period. Unsure why they are asking for bank statements in particular.
