ILR Immigration History

Greetings,

I am applying for ILR - Set (O) Partner of a Skilled Worker, Tier 2 (General).

While completing my visa application form today as an ILR dependent, I was asked to enter my immigration history from 11 Jan 2018 whilst I entered the UK on a qualifying visa from 12th Jan 2019. I am confused thinking is this normal or if have I made an error such as using the wrong link to enter my details https://www.gov.uk/indefinite-leave-to- ... visa/apply

Additional info - we used the above link to first enter the information of the main applicant (i.e. my wife) and subsequently we entered my details as part of her application / dependent. We thought, we might have entered the wrong date and hence started a fresh application again albeit, it still asked for immigration history from 11 Jan 2018. I don't have any problem providing additional information but wanted to make sure I am not doing anything daft / using the wrong form.

Grateful for your support in this matter.

Thanks,
Amit

Are you and your spouse applying at the same time for ilr using one form?? Or does your partner already have ilr and only you are applying now?

Also, you are not reading the question properly. It asks if you have a visa granted on or after 11 january 2018 and if you answer yes because you do, it will then ask for all your ABSENCES since your visa issue date. You have to declate all absences from your visa start date.

Many thanks for your swift and helpful response.

Me and my spouse are applying at the same time for ILR. She has added me as her partner under her form.

On your second point, I agree with you. I was not reading it properly. I took your guidance and have declared absences from my qualifying visa start date. Again, thank you so much for your help!
