Hello,
I have a question regarding 5 year period for ILR.
I see that we are qualified to apply for ILR 28 days before the 5 year period.but what is the start date for calculating the 5 yr period?
Is it the visa issue date on my first brp card?
Or
Start date on my vignette sticker?
Or
Date I arrived in UK?

Thanks in advance

Depends on your visa route. For almost all visa routes it is from the very first visa issue date (the earliest date on a document you were issued)

However, for the family members of the 'settled or British person' route, it is from the first date of entry to the UK

Thanks for the quick reply, this is for tier 2 route,so hopefully it will be the issue date on my brp card and i should be eligible 28 days before the 5 year period of that date?
