Incorrect immigration stamp date on passport

Hello all,
We have submitted our ILR LR application last week and have the biometric appointment next Saturday. While scanning all the previous immigration stamps, I noticed that one of the arrival stamps has incorrect date on my husband's, son's as well as my passport. Instead of 3 September 2017, it says 3 August 2017. In the application form, I've specified 3 September 2017 as that is the correct date only to realise the mismatch now. How do I prove/correct this?
Can anyone please help me? Thank you!

You do not need to correct anything as this is a minor issue. Caseworkers look at the evidence submitted to make a decision

The problem I have is the evidence given in form of the passport scan has the wrong date of arrival while the date entered in the application form is correct. In son's and my case, we departed from the UK on 31st July and returned on the 3rd September. So even if they consider 3rd August as the correct date, it shouldn't be an issue. However, in husband's case, he departed from the UK on 13th August and returned with us on the 3rd September. The caseworker may think, how is it possible that a person departed on 13th August and returned on the 3rd August.
Will it help to attach a covering letter explaining the situation?

You can send a covering letter but I doubt it will be an issue. Personally I wouldn’t bother as it is likely to cause delay if they query the dates. The Home Office will believe the passport stamp over your dates, so you would have to prove your date.
Is it worth all the hassle- probably not.

Do you suggest I go ahead without bothering about the issue and hope they don't raise any query?

Write a cover letter addressing the error so CW does not see the conflict

According to the immigration stamps, it looks as if son and I travelled or of the UK on 31st July and returned on 3rd August. So it shouldn't be a big issue apart from the inconsistency.
However, in my husband's case, it looks like he came to the UK on 3rd August 2017 and travelled out on the 13th August 2017. The next date of arrival stamp on his passport is 17th june 2018. Would that be reason enough to refuse ILR (more than 6 months away from the UK)?
If I attach a cover letter to explain this, shall I also attach the flight ticket as evidence which indicates 3rd September as our arrival date to the UK?
I'm really worried now.

Yes you can do that.

I've contacted border force at Heathrow airport and sent them all the details related to our situation. Hoping to get a clarification letter from them in time before our biometric appointment on Saturday. Fingers crossed.
Anyone has an idea about the lead time to get a response from them please?

Not sure anyone has such timeline.
However as it is directed to an exact PoE hope you get response faster.

You have absolutely no prospect of getting a covering letter in any timescale that will happen before your likely decision. This type of error will have to go through a full internal investigation prior to a response. It is a serious matter in Border Force for the wrong date to be used, there is a check process for the date on a stamp, so that has failed… it has serious ramifications for the officers involved. It will not be a quick process unfortunately.
