Hello,

I am in the UK on a Global Talent Visa with a start date (on vignette) 11/01/2022. I will be eligible to apply for an ILR via the 3-year route, so the earliest I can apply is 13/12/2024 (28 days prior to 11/01/2025). I have a couple of questions that I would really appreciate clarity on:

(1) I am planning to be out of the UK this fall for work reasons. Is it possible for me to submit my online application for the ILR from outside the UK? I will travel back for the biometrics appointment (in the UK) that I will book or after 13/12/2024, attend it in person, and not leave the UK until I receive the ILR.

(2) How hard is it to get a superpriority appointment for ILR applications via the 3-year Global Talent Visa route? I have read comments of people needing to check at midnight for many days in a row to get such an appointment, which sounds quite dreadful.

Any leads will be greatly appreciated.

1. You need to apply in the uk and honestly declare all absences in the form. How will you do that if you are still absent from the uk?

2. Super priority is not an "appointment". It is a service, if available, from ukvi. The appointment is for biometrics only, with a third party agency and has nothing to do with super priority service.

Super priority, if available, is also not a guaranteed service.

Regarding (1), I will write the absences with my anticipated return date in December. (This absence will not impact my continuous residence period because it is work-related and permitted under the guidance.)

Regarding (2), I apologise for the incorrect wording. I meant how hard is it to get a superpriority service option for this route, since some other routes require daily checks and some luck to get it.

1. The form won’t allow you to put a future date in the form. Why not simply wait till you are back and apply, which is the correct process. The application date is the date you submit and pay online and all information must be true and correct on that date.

2. It isn’t hard if you are willing to keep checking at silly hours. Super priority availability is based on capacity and is limited so you might not get the option for a few days and would have to keep trying.

The appointments for super priority are available at 12 midnight

Super priority has nothing to do with "appointments". It is a ukvi service, if available, not an appointment.
