Hello everyone,

I am sorry if this question has been asked too often but I just want to make sure I am doing everything right.

I will be eligible for ILR this month via GTV (exceptional talent) route. I will also be extending my 2 dependents visas (wife and son) as their visa is also expiring along with me (of course). I would appreciate if someone can answer my following concerns:
  • I passed Life in the UK test and got English Language Proficiency Statement via ECCTIS. Is there any other exam, test I need to pass?
  • My family visa should be extended via GT PBS? Is this correct?
  • I have heard PBS extension should be minimum of 3 years. Is this correct? I have not found any information online of this 3 years rule.
I will really appreciate your help so thank you in advance :)

Don't think so.

Yes. It states so in the rules:
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration ... bal-talent
GT 24.1. A partner will be granted:
(a) permission which ends on the same date as their partner’s permission on the Global Talent route; or
(b) 3 years’ permission if the partner was (or is being) granted settlement on the Global Talent route.
GT 24.2. A child will be granted permission which ends on the same date as whichever of their parents’ permission ends first, unless both parents have (or are being granted) settlement or British Citizenship, in which case the child will be granted permission for 3 years.

GTV route is not part of the point-based system (PBS) at all. Your dependants will apply to extend under the GTV dependant route.
