English Test Validity for ILR Application

I am a bit confused for the validity of the English test for my upcoming ILR application in 15 April 2026. Yesterday I took the test (3 June 2024) and understand that the results are typically valid for two years.
I am wondering if taking the test this early might be a disadvantage. Should I consider retaking it closer to my application date (15 April 2026) to ensure the results are as current as possible?
I was told that if the result is valid at the time I submitted the application, it will fine. But I wonder if it will take long to make the appointment for biometric card and I am not sure if it is part of application. If so, does it mean that I should have a valid English test result at the day I finish all online application, document submission and biometric card appointment?
