Wrong SOC job code in my application due to April update

Hi all,

I just paid for my ILR today and waiting to submit all documents by Monday morning.

I entered 2135 as the job code in my application form based on my original COS letter from my current skilled worker visa. Then the HR noticed that my job code has changed from 2135 to 2133 following the latest revision of the SOC policy.

I am panicking right now to understand the impact of my mistake and hoping to see if there is any way to save my application. The HR rewrote the employment reference letter quoting:
"MY_NAME is employed under the job code 2135 IT business analysts, architects, and systems designers). We understand as of April 2024, the job code was reclassified as 2133."

I also uploaded my original COS as supporting documents. Would it be efficient? Should I write a cover letter too? Thank you very much for any suggestion!

A cover letter is enough. This is a minor issue; nothing changes as the UKVI knows.

The Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) codes assigned to each role have been simply updated from the 2010 codes to the 2020 codes, so your old SOC and the new 2020 SOC both effectively refer to the same role

Hi,

Could you please advice how did your ILR application go?

I am on 2135 as well as I had the CoS before the changes. I am also planning to apply for ILR but confused on the financial/salary requirements.

Please advise what Salary threshold you considered for 2135/2133 and you got the ILR?

Thanks,
Bilal
