Hi ALL,

I am applying for long residence (10yrs) ILR. During these 10 years of residence, I also have one year of extension on startup visa. I was initially granted a startup visa in Feb 2020 - Feb 2022 but I applied for an extension during Covid and got it extended till Feb 2023. Will this extension be covered in 10 years long residence route?

Any help is appreciated.

If the extension was under the start up route then yes it counts. However, if you mean 'exceptional assurance', then that will not count !

Yes, the one year extension was under start-up route and the BRP also mentioned Start-up leave to remain (similar to 2 year route).

Hi Zimba,

I have another question - the ILR application is asking for part-time annual earnings though it does not let me clarify if it's a part-time job.

I have recently started a part time job this June which is hourly based, however, I don't have fixed hours for every month, it depends on their need e.g., I only worked there for a month since June. Please guide.

I am on a Skilled worker visa and I keep the part time hours well under 20hrs/week permission.

Just put a rough estimate. There is no financial requirement to satisfy so do not be alarmed

I have another question - they are asking for 'documents supporting for reasons to stay' as I checked 'yes' and mentioned i have a job, built my career and have friends here.

Should i provide my employment contract for this option?
And should i also upload blank pages of a passport or just with the stamps.

Pl.ease advise.

You do NOT need any other reasons to stay in the UK. If you answer YES you get a request to submit documents which will confuse you. That question is intended for people who normally do NOT qualify, not you
