I came here as 12 years old, claimed asylum however it was rejected but in 2022 I was granted live to remain under private life under paragraph 276ADE on 10 years route as I completed half my life here.

I am due for an extension this month, I want to know which form I should use and am I eligible for the new 5years route as I was granted visa as a young adult however my age was 25 years 4month when visa was granted it was during Covid time I believe application was delayed cus of it. I saw someone switched from 10 years route to 5 years route another forum.

Please Help!

The 5-year rule has nothing to do with your extension (it is for ILR), you do not need to tell UKVI anything. They know the rules

Young adult who arrived in the UK as a child

Residence requirements for a young adult
An applicant aged 18 years or over and under 25 years must have arrived in the UK
as a child and have lived continuously in the UK for at least half their life at the date
of application. You must check the date of the permission to stay application, the age of the
applicant at the date of application and whether they had lived in the UK for at least
half their life.

A person applying for settlement on the private life route who was initially granted
permission under either Appendix Private Life or paragraph 276ADE in Part 7 may
no longer be in the young person age bracket (for example, they may be 25 or over)
at the date of application. The applicant will be eligible to apply for settlement if they
were initially granted as a person who was 18 or over but under 25 years old and
met the half of life test when first granted permission to stay on the private life route.
Applicants are able to combine permissions in any route that leads to settlement
towards their qualifying period. Where that permission is not included in paragraph
PL 14.3, the applicant must not have entered the UK illegally and must have had
permission on the relevant part of the private life route for at least one year.

Your eligibility was determined based on the initial date of application. I assume you were below 25 when you applied

Ignore what the old decision letter says. Appendix private life was introduced after you got your visa which replaced the old rules including the provisions under paragraph 276ADE and it introduced the fast-track 5-year route to ILR for children and young adults.

You do not need to do anything, just extend now and apply for ILR when you get close to 5 years under the private life route using form SET(PL)

Apologise, I made application using FLR FP however apparently it's meant to be for 10 years Route not 5 years.

I am just going to write a cover letter I'm eligible for new 5 years rule.

During application I mention that I live in my aunties house and I have provided her ID and Mortgage statement. Does she need to sign the 2nd consent form?
