Will my indefinite leave to remain get rejected?

I will be applying for indefinite leave to remain soon as the main applicant.
I have submitted my self- assessment for tax returns a bit delayed. I have recently submitted for 2022-2024 and waiting to a response from HMRC. I probably will not receive a response before the deadline to apply for indefinite leave to remain.
Would you advise I include this information in my cover letter?
Could this result in a refusal of indefinite leave to remain?
I’m on the ancestry route - any questions please let me know

What would you mean by a deadline? An expiration of your current visa?

Tax issues are mostly civil issues. They have very no effect on your ILR

I assume you’re applying for ancestry settlement indicating self-employed work? You should ensure your evidence of being self-employed is genuine and reflects a continuing trade if that is what you’re relying on. If your self-employment is not genuine that could be an issue for ancestry settlement.

So would you say that I shouldn’t disclose it in my cover letter?
Yes, I mean by the expiry of my current visa.
What do you mean that my evidence of being self employed should be genuine? I’m not sure I completely understand what you mean

Part of the application for evidence of self-employment on the checklist would be tax returns/accounts etc do you have these?

I was working for a company so technically I was employed but had to do my own taxes as the company didn’t do that.
I have a letter from the company confirming my employment with them - would this be sufficient?

The ancestry route does not have any financial requirements for ILR. So your income, work or self-assessment is not important at all. There are no rules that suggest a delayed submission of taxes leads to issues under any route whatsoever
