Hi,

Is someone able to share a sample employment letter to support ILR application. I received a support letter from my employer confirming my employment status - role, salary, start date - is this enough or does the letter need to specify other details like I am required on the role beyond the last date on my current visa, all leave of absence fall within annual leave eligibility and hence, they are company approved paid leave?

I am unable to access one of the moderators info on the same below, hence a post requesting the same info.

Hi,

I would like some advice on the bank statement requirement for ILR application. Does this have to be the bank's system generated monthly statement? My bank statement for Nov does not get generated until few more days. I have the previous months statement ( transactions from 7th Sep to 4th Oct). If I am to make an application today ( eligible to do so based on the 28 days rule) can I use the Oct monthly statement supplemented by a transaction summary generated by online banking system, showing transactions from 5th 5th Oct to today - this will show my salary for Oct being deposited to match my payslip. The transaction statement is different to bank statement in not having a formal letter head of the bank, account balance, does not show my home address plus other details like account no etc but it does show watermark confirming its generated from the bank system today.

I have everything ready to go for submitting the application, should I wait till the official statement is generated or is it acceptable to use the documents as above.

Hi,

I am trying to get some sense of when should I call the UKVI helpline or do any escalation as such on my application. Following is my timeline.

Applied online - 7th Nov 2024 ( priority)
Biometrics - 12th Nov 2024
Additional document request -19th Nov 2024
I was asked that my employer submit evidence that Home Office was notified there has been a change in trading name.
Background: I joined company X ( Tier A sponsor license no in CoS). After 2 years part of company X was sold to another entity and company Y was registered as licensed sponsor. All employees within the sale and on sponsorship got transferred to company Y ( also a Tier A sponsor now) under TUPE. Home office was notified as RTW checks were carried out after the transfer and it showed name of company Y.
When I filled my ILR form I entered license number of company Y as this is the company I will be working for in the UK who is supporting my application ( not sure if I should have entered company X's license number as in CoS - then support letter would not have matched). I think the additional document request is due to mismatch in sponsor license between Tier 2 CoS and ILR application ( I have seen this question being asked here where first company was no longer operating and it was highlighted this shouldn't be an issue as case worker will have access to all documents. Also it made sense to enter company Y given that is who I work for currently)

I submitted additional document within 2 hours - HR contacted the immigration advisors who supported with TUPE and on their advice gave a letter detailing the above and reference date of when the communication was shared to home office and extract of my details ( also to contact them directly if they need original letter - could be due to data sensitivity as it has details of many employees). I got an auto generated email from the mailbox.

Any advice on what to expect given my application is on priority ( self + spouse + child). I feel like I am stuck in a limbo. Can moderators throw some light on what I have submitted originally accounts to inaccurate information/whether I should be prepared to expect refusal on this ground?
All other documentation have been supplied as required and more. In hindsight I could have added a cover letter but I didn't think mine was complicated enough to do that.

What timeline should I wait until I call the helpline, ask for support from MP etc?

The communication did not say mine was complex case. It only mentioned they cannot meet the 5 days period as they have a request for additional info. Typically do caseworkers come to paused applications like a standard timeline case? Apologies for the long list of questions

A request for additional information on an ILR application doesn't mean it will refused, as long as this information is provided on time. Just need to wait for a response.

That communication from UKVI responds all your questions here.

When they request for additional info, it will not be possible to meet the priority timelines, so the application will be put in the normal queue (up to six months). It happens in all cases, it is not only for ILR or any particular immigration route. I know this is frustrating and not ideal, but it's how this process works.

Your application was submitted just a couple of weeks ago and provided biometrics last week, need to exercise patience and wait to hear back from them. The priority timelines no longer apply to you unfortunately. Any attempt to chase them at this stage will be a waste of time, it will not speed up the process. Just ensure that also your employer responds to any UKVI queries as soon as possible.

Priority service does NOT have any guarantees. UKVI will take as much time as it needs to make a decision. Just because you provided documents does not mean they will immediately be satisfied with them. They may have to conduct further checks and investigations before granting ILR. You must expect at least several days to a few weeks of delay on your application. A delay does NOT mean refusal and what you have experienced is NOT out of ordinary at all

When my husband checked his ( dependent Tier 2/SWV) - his shows as original pre application case- RTW only until visa end date - his company has been chasing for update on the permission to remain etc.
What is the best course of action here given there is possibility this whole thing will take weeks ( beyond my visa expiry date).
Any advice will be appreciated.

The employer should use the employer checking service: https://www.gov.uk/employee-immigration ... ent-status
