ILR Long residence eligibility

Hello,
Can anyone please explain the requirement to have had current permission (where granted from 11 April 2024) for 12 months or more to be eligible on 10 year route to ILR?

In my scenario:
I will achieve 10 years of continuous residence in the UK on 21 February 2025. However, since I switched my employer on 01 August 2024(previous and current visa, both being skilled worker visa with same job code but sponsored by different employers), do I need to wait until 01 August 2025 to be eligible to apply for ILR based on long residence?

Can someone please explain the ambiguous wordings of this new rule?

It is not about a new visa, it is about whether you have been under your current immigration ROUTE for 12 months or more

Thank you for your quick response and clarification, I was a little confused with the word 'current permission'. Thank you for clarifying.

ILR APPLICATION TIMELINE ELIGIBILITY

I am completing 10 years in UK in Feb 2025, and due to apply for my ILR. I understand that the ILR application can be made up to 28 days before the date of completion of 10 years. However, to clarify is this 28 days for in-service appointment or the day all the fees are paid ? Meaning can I apply for an appointment in december itself (if available)?

The 28-day concession is not about which date to apply for ILR. It is about the earliest date you can be granted ILR, meaning you can be granted ILR from 28 days of completing your 10 years or any time later. The suggestion is to book your appointment within 28 days of completing your ILR when applying using the priority service

Thank you for your quick response and clarification.
So, just to clarify if I have understood you right,
1. First visa approval/visa validity start: 13th Feb 2015
2. First arrival in UK: 22nd Feb 2015 .

As per my understanding from your expanation, I can apply for ILR anytime now, and schedule the biometric appointment, counting 28 days backward from 13th Feb(or should it be counted backwards from 21st Feb?)

Thanks & Kind regards,
Sulagna

The 10-year completes on 13th Feb 2025, so you can your biometrics date should be booked 28 days prior to that.
