ILR application - "Date of first entry" question

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of applying for ILR through the 5-year route using T-2 and Skilled worker categories. One of the questions in the application is in the Immigration History section asking "What is the date when you first entered the UK".

To give you some background, I have previously been in the UK on other visas (outside of the 5-year period), so I'm a little confused what date to enter for the question. Please see the details below:

T-4 Visa:
August 2014 - July 2015

T-4 Dependent Visa:
Feb 2018 - July 2019

T-2 Visa:
Dec 2019 (application to switch from T4-Dependent to T2 was made in June 2019, but delays in processing resulted in BRP having a date of Dec).

I have been in the UK from 2014 to 2015 and left. Then I came again as a T4-Dependent, and switched to T-2 from within the UK.

I'm assuming that for the ILR application considering 5-year clock, the correct answer would be December 2019? Since I was already present in the UK at the time of making the T-2 application, should the date be Feb 2018 instead?

Please keep in mind that I'm not asking about the 5-year clock itself, but rather the answer to "Date when you first entered the UK"

Thank you in advance.

That question is ambiguous and less relevant, you can use any date and the application should proceed. For example, use a date within the qualifying period - Dec 2019.

The first entry date you put on the form is irrelevant to your ILR eligibility. The rules say that the 5 years starts from thef the first visa issue date. Your ILR eligibility is determined as per the rules
