Hi,
I am going to switch my visa from Skilled Worker to Global Talent. I have already received my endorsement. My endorsement body is Royal Society of Engineering so usually I should be on 3-years route making me able to combine my time on SKWV and apply for ILR on September 2025 and hopefully UK citizenship in 2026. My dependents have a valid visa until October 2027, and by then, their 5-year stay will be complete, making them eligible to apply for ILR. I will My question is: Is it compulsory for my dependents to switch their visa to Global Talent dependent, or can they remain on their existing Skilled Worker dependent visa until October 2027 and then apply for ILR? Will it be any issue when they apply for ILR if they remain on existing Skilled Worker Dependent visa?
Thank you!

No. Their visa route will be irrelevant for ILR. The rules do not care what visa route they are under as long as your spouse spent 5 years as your dependant partner
