Hi All,

I was on the skilled worker visa from 2020 and got my ILR (5 year route) in December 2024.

My wife got on the skilled worker visa with BRP issue date as 10-03-2020 and it was done in UK, ie an in country application. She is also working.

I used SET(O) to apply.

I am thinking of taking a career break for couple of months as it has been a stressful 5 years, but intent to resume work after that.

1) I understand she needs to use SET(O) form as well, is that correct?
2) Would she be eligible for ILR on 10-02-2025?
3) Do i need any evidence from my employer?
4) Would I need to be employed while she applies for ILR ? Or can she show her employer payslip?

5) The following page has me confused about the financial requirement for her application. Can anyone give some clarity what that means please?

Assuming she holds a dependent visa and not her own skilled worker sponsored visa.

1. Set O yes.

2. Yes.

3. No.

4. Your employment or non employment is irrelevant. There is no financial requirement for her and no payslips etc required.

Thank CR001 for the quick response.
Why does then https://www.gov.uk/indefinite-leave-to- ... y-members] page say the following is needed:
you have enough income to support yourselves and your dependants

Yes she is on my "Skilled worker dependent visa" and thats valid till next year

If no financial requirement is needed, Why does then (https://www.gov.uk/indefinite-leave-to- ... orker-visa) page say the following is needed:
you have enough income to support yourselves and your dependants
:(

The GOV.UK pages often have incorrect, inaccurate or misleading information.
There is no financial requirement for dependants and that has no basis in the immigration rules
