Hi I am also in the same boat. Currently, I am earning £37,000 per annum with a SOC code of 2135 as a System Consultant. However, upon reviewing the official government website, I noted that the salary threshold for ILR is stated as £37,600. My concern arises as my current salary falls £600 short of this requiremen.

I need to apply my ILR on June so will that impact my ILR application as I am getting £600?

Salary requirement for ILR

Hi Zamba, My turn to apply for ILR is around July 2024, and currently, I'm earning £36,999 per annum. Would that be sufficient to be eligible for ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain)? My SOC code is 2135, and according to the government report, I should be earning £37,600. I have requested my employer to increase this amount. If they do so, will it be okay to increase the salary at the last moment just to reach the salary threshold, and will it not impact the ILR decision?

DO NOT tag the same query all over the forum and stick only to your own post here
Asking for a raise to secure ILR is a red flag for UKVI and your sponsor can be investigated. You are not entitled to be given ILR
SOC 2135 replaced with 2133, Code and Salary Discrepancy for ILR Application

Hi
My current SOC code is 2135, covering the period from December 2019 to February 2025, and my salary defined in the COS was £37,000. However, according to the updated documentation from gov.uk, it appears that SOC code 2135 has now been changed to 2133. Upon reviewing the job description and the ongoing rate for the new code 2133, which is £39,700, it seems there's a discrepancy with my current salary.
I'm reaching out for guidance on how to proceed in this situation and whether this discrepancy could potentially impact my application for ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain) on Feb 2025. Your advice and assistance would be greatly appreciated. I am currently holding tier 2 general visa
Thanks
suresh

You either qualify for ILR or not. If you do not qualify, then you cannot apply for ILR unless you meet the required salary

You must earn at least £39,300 (£20.15 per hour). Also, be aware that the rate is based on a 37.5h working week. You need to adjust the salary according to the working hours shown on your CoS.

Query Regarding ILR Application for Tier 2 Dependent with Shortfall in Visa Duration

I came to the UK through a Tier 2 ICT visa on 12th August 2017, and my wife arrived on 7th January 2020 with a Tier 2 General visa. I then switched to a Tier 2 Dependent visa on 2nd February 2020. Both of our visas are set to expire on 28th January 2025.
My wife is eligible for a 5-year Tier 2 visa and can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) 28 days before her visa expires. However, my current tier 2 dependent visa will expire 6 days before I complete 5 years in the UK.
In this case, should I apply for ILR as a dependent to cover the 6 days, and am I eligible to apply for ILR at the same time as my wife?
My start date is 02-feb-2020
VIsa expiry Date is : 28 jan 2025 (6 days short faill, but eligible 28 days before)

Visa expiry has NOTHING to do with ILR. You are eligible for ILR within 28 days of completing your 5 years. Just apply before expiry and book your appointment when eligible.
Learn how this works via section 3C:
Applicants can benefit from the date of the ILR decision
Query Regarding ILR Application for My 11-Year-Old Daughter

Hi,
I currently hold a Tier 2 Dependent visa valid from 03-Feb-2020, and I am planning to apply for ILR next week. My daughter entered the UK on 10-Mar-2020, and she will become eligible for ILR after I receive mine
My question is: can she apply for ILR alone since she is just 11 years old, or do I need to extend my visa because she has a shortfall of 15 to 20 days to complete the required 4 years - 28 days?
My wife has already received her ILR
thanks
suresh

Add your daughter to your ilr application.
There is no 5 years minimum for children.

Hi Thanks for replying back.
Yes, I understand, but my wife already has ILR, and I am yet to apply. My child was born outside the UK, so I believe the 5-year rule will still apply to
