Hi

I have got ILR recently in Feb 2025 via 5 years (Tier 2General + skilled worker) Visa route (SET (0) application)

My partner is on dependent partner visa valid till Nov 2025. Partner will complete 5 Years as my dependent by Mar-2025

My Child born in UK Oct 2021 and is 3+years old is on dependent Child visa valid till Nov 2025

My Questions

1. Which application set i should use for my partner to apply for ILR, SET (O) or SET(M) ?
2. I know UK born child is eligible for Citizenship if parents have ILR now. But i want to apply for ILR for my child as we have not yet decided on citizenship. Can i apply for ILR for my Child? If yes which application set i should use. (I am planning to apply for my child and partner together in Mar 2025)

Thanks

SET(O)
The child simply will be included in the same ILR application alongside your spouse

Hi admin

Had couple of questions while filling application for partner dependent ILR

1. It asks Husband's Enter their biometric residence permit (BRP) number - Husband is already on ILR and evisa sharecode, Do i need to enter previous Skilled worker visa BRP card number here? I was wondering if that will be valid? because he already got ILR now

2. It also asks for husbands VAF number or GWF number - Do i need to mention this? given Husband already got ILR

3. For Child - I hope 5 years stay is not applicable, because child is 3 years old on PBS Child visa . Now Husband already got ILR and Partner is applying for ILR along with Child in same ILR application. Is UK born child eligibel for ILR when both parents gets ILR?

Thanks

1. BRP details are not important as that is a legacy from the old days. The rules care about parents ILR status, not a BRP.
All BRPs are now phased out: Information on eVisas as all BPRs are now phased out

2. NO need to enter any of those

3. Yes. Children do NOT have any residence requirement at all

Hello Admins

I got my ILR approved.. thanks alot for your support during this process.
I just had one last question post approval.

Me and my partner evisa status shows as Settled, wheras for my 3 year kid evisa shows as Dependent.. there is no limit on stay on dates.

Wondering if this is correct for kid. Me and my kid applied for ILR together. Set(o)

Thanks

If your child was born in the UK and you have already obtained ILR, you should be able to apply for your child's citizenship without the need for ILR right???

The OP has already said in their first post that they did not want to do that
