Dear Members,

I would appreciate your expert opinion in the following situation.

A friend of mine, is a British citizen and applied flr(fp) for his wife which was approved and visa valid from 15 March 2015 now, after 10 years long residence, she is eligible to apply for ILR. However, the info on the gov.uk makes it difficult to decide which application so the write one:

1. settlement Long Residence (SET LR): before pressing apply button, it says if you are partner of a person settlement in the UK, please don’t use this form.

2. Apply as a Partner (Family Route): this has the option for 10 years route and has the guidance but the application name is Settlement Adult Relative.

So I am not sure, which one to go for? I would appreciate if you could kindly paste the link to follow and comment your reason/ prior Experiance.

Kind regards

Many Thanks Zimba

Means I have 2 options 10 years partner route showed as SETTLEMENT ADULT RELATIVE or SET(LR).

One more question is there any Suepr priority services available for settlement Adult Relative? I have filled the form SETTLEMENT ADULT RELATIVE but there is no priority service available.
Or do I have to fill the SET(LR) for Super priority service

Please reply me

Kind regards

Thanks zimba one las question

I have filled SET(LR) as well to see which one has super priority service available either SET (LR) or 10 years family route showed as SETTLEMENT ADULT RELATIVE.

I can see super priority services are available for SET(LR) in my case can I go ahead with this?

Kind regards

These are two separate routes with separate and different requirements. Again the choice is yours, assuming you qualify under both routes. Also there are NO gurantees for the priority service

So Zimba you mean I can’t apply SET(LR)
I have completed 10 years long residency as a partner.

Hi Zimba,

While filling the SETTLEMENT ADULT RELATIVE form asking for public funds. My husband claimed for the child tax credit which comes in my name.

Do I have to put yes or no? Or do I have to mention in covering letter that my husband claimed?

Kind regards

It is not asking about what your husband claims

Do I have to put option NO to public funds as child tax credit is a joint claim.

Hi Zimba

I have read the advice you have given what I understand is that in my case I have both options Settlement adult relative and SET(LR).

Please correct if I am wrong
