Flr fp to indefinite

I came to uk in 2009 visitor visa . Was overstayer until December 2014 when my application was accepted as a parent when my son was born and given 30months FLR FP .
My 4th and final flr fp runs out in December 2025, no refusals or visa issues since first flr fp granted . I have a few questions please
1-can i apply 9 months before my 120 months are over as my 10 years from 1st aplication was december 2024. Also can my overstayer condition affect my ilr application ?
2- when selecting ilr options , long residence has a note spicifically saying family/partner route applicants to go for adult relative route . Many user have mentioned relative route doesnt have super priority. I am aware of limited slots . Can i go for Long residence route ?
3. Adult relative route has a specific question - do i claim public funds ? My wife gets universal credit, i am named applicant on it . What do i answer ?
4. I didnt have any valid passport until 2016 (2years gap in 10years) . What can i do about providing 10 year passport record ?

1. I assume you mean 9 months AFTER the 10 years are complete ?? You seem to have been eligible for ILR since last November, so you can apply for ILR now or later until visa expiry. Your overtsyaing before 2014 is irrelevant
2. You seem to have incorrectly interpreted the note on the form SET(LR). That note simply says to avoid using form SET(LR) if you intend to apply for ILR under the family/partner route rules (i.e. the 10-year FAMILY route) as you should use a different form ('adult settlement'). However, it does NOT talk about your current visa or tell you that you cannot use SET(LR) if they happen to be on the family route. Under the long residence, your current visa route is irrelevant. In your case, you had the option to apply under both routes. The only difference is that the rules are different for each route. My suggestion is that if someone qualifies under the family route, they better stick to that route rather than the long residence. This is all up to you
3. The answer is NO
4. Provide a cover letter, explaining why you did not have any valid passports until 2016

1- i meant i was given 120 months (4x30months) to complete under my first application. Still 9 months left to complete in my final 2.5 years installment.
Also if i was to go for long residence application (for super priority due to urgency ) i can only provide work documents for last 8 years only , would that be an issue ?

If you were granted leave in December 2014, then it is fair to assume that you completed 10 years in December 2024. Time spent waiting for an extension decision on an in-time application also counts towards the lawful residence, due to section 3C. So 4x30 months visas can end up covering more than 10 years of lawful residence due to the waiting time for in-time extension applications (between your leaves). Also, there is no employment/work requirement to satisfy under any 10-year route to ILR

Yes you can apply for naturalisation now. Ask any related questions in the British citizenship subforum

Hey do you mind elaborating on what the difference in rules are for both routes? A friend of mine will be completing 10 years of legal residence and has been granted 3 increments of Article 8 private life leave. Would be interesting to know what the difference in rules between these two routes are in your opinion.
