Form(s) to use for ILR application - URGENT request for guidance

Dear All,

Please I need URGENT guidance as to the appropriate form to use for ILR application.

I have been on the 10-year route - 7.5 of which was granted as parent of a settled child (British) and the remaining 2.5 years as partner of a British citizen.

I am perplexed as to the appropriate form to use for ILR application to avoid rejection. I need to add that I will be applying with a child who has been on the same visa route with me but now over 18 years and working.

I will be extremely grateful if I can be guided please.

Thanking you all in advance.

Adults under the 10-year route should use the 'adult settlement' form: https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... t-relative

Children can settle using SET(F)

Dear Zimba,

Many thanks for your response and advice.

I note that the link sent for Children application only covers children under 18 years - "Use this form to apply to settle in the UK if you are a child, or are applying on behalf of a child under 18."
Additionally, the Form SET F also states that the form cannot be used if the parent is applying for ILR via the parent route - "Do not use this form if:
your current leave to remain is as the child of a parent who is (or parents who are) applying for settlement on the 10-year family route."

Grateful if you can help look into this and advice accordingly.

Many Thanks

You are indeed correct. UKVI has made the forms more confusing since 2022. :?
The recent 'child settlement' form should be used instead: https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... ment-child
