Employer cancelled skilled worker visa after I transitioned to ILR

Hi,

I successfully transitioned to an ILR in Nov 2024.
Today I received a letter from my employer that my Skilled worker visa has been cancelled and that Hime Office will reach out to me.

What does this mean? Is this just standard practice that employers follow? Does this affect my right to live and work in the UK? I am already on an ILR.
Should I expect any communication from the Home Office?

Thanks for your help.

It's normal.

Nothing to worry about. You have ILR.

Not sure what UKVI would want to tell or ask you, now that you have ILR.

An employer cannot cancel a visa. Your employer simply reported this change in your status via their SMS system. That is all it means. Also as you have ILR, you no longer have a skilled worker visa and so there is no visa to be cancelled. You will receive no communication from the home office. So go and live your life

It's meaningless.

The last thing on your file after obtaining ILR will be a withdrawal of sponsorship. Under the sponsorship rules, an employer must report to the home office once he stops sponsoring an employee.
In your case, once you obtained ILR and your employer validated it through right to work check your employer withdrawn your sponsorship as he's not allowed to sponsor settled people.
