Hi All,
Came to uk on a dependant diplomatic visa May 2015. Was in Full time education in until 2021 and started working. Applied for FLR 2 years ago still waiting for a response. Now i am nearing the 10 year mark for ILR and since Im still waiting on a decision which is most likely going to be negative can i apply for an IRL given a recall letter has been issued. I understand earliest I can apply is April. Will applying in Feb be too soon?

You can try.
Applying early is not an issue as the date of the ILR decision is considered:
Applicants can benefit from the date of the ILR decision

Hi All,
Recently just reached the 10 year mark and considering applying for Set LR via the 10 year route. However was curious will the 7 years spent as dependent count towards ILR and currently on a section 3c for the remaining 3 years. Can I apply for ILR given the new laws and will my time spend as dependant count towards the 10 years?
Thank you

Hi all,
Just to provide an update. Me and my brother applied for the visa and both application are in the system. A week ago my brother foolishly drove under the influence and is due to appear in court. A) Will this affect his application and how. B) What should be his next steps as no decision has been made and his court date Is at the beginning of September.

Yes it can affect it, depending on the verdict.
Custodial sentences lead to refusal.
Refusal for non-custodial sentences is at the discretion of the UKVI:
