ILR eligibility for me and my wife

Hey guys,
I have a major doubt just before applying and thus seek your help.
Me and my wife got UK visa on the passport on the 17th August 2020. We both arrived together on the 11th September 2020.
We have been living together since then and don't have more than 180 absences.
I know that I am eligible to apply 28 days before the visa vignette date, i.e 17th August 2020. So, basically I can apply today.
I am confused regarding my wife's eligibility. Is it from the day of entry ( 11th sept 2020) for her or same as mine, i.e visa stamp(17th August)?

Assuming you are on a Skilled Worker visa, it the same date for both of you as the start of the qualifying period, 17th August.

I asked in a Facebook group aswell.
This is their reply,
Date of living in the United Kingdom is the date used. You need evidence so if it’s before you won’t have any. Don’t use the vignette dates rather you use the arrival dates.
Can someone clarify. I don’t want to loose 8000 pounds.
Thank you

For your visa route, which you hae not confirmed is skilled worker visa, it is the visa issue date.
It is a completely different visa category that starts from date if entry, ie spouse of settled person or British citizen.
The rules are NOT the same for every visa category!!

Sorry for not clarifying. I came to the uk as a doctor on tier 2 visa, which was changed to skilled worker visa.

I suggest you leave that the Facebook group as they gave you nonsensical incorrect advice.
For skilled workers and their dependents, the appendix continuous residence of the immigration rules tells you how the continuous residence should be calculated. There is no need to produce any evidence either.
This is what the official guide on appendix continuous residence says:
Counting the continuous residence period
Where a person is applying for settlement as soon as they qualify you will need to
calculate their period of continuous residence. See Check immigration history
section of this guidance on how to calculate the period of continuous residence.
In these instances, you must establish the date the applicant was granted entry
clearance. The time between the grant of entry clearance and the date of arrival is a
period during which they had permission on that route and should be treated as a
period of lawful residence. In these instances, you must establish the date the
applicant entered the UK. The time between the grant of entry clearance and the
date they entered the UK counts towards the total of absences.
Where the applicant is applying on the basis that they were born in the UK,
continuous residence is calculated from their date of birth.

Hey guys,
I have paid for my ILR application. Trying to book appointment by using the TLS contact website. Apparently they blocked me for using too many refreshes, I was not able to see any open dates upto August, likely safari issue. Now, since the past 40 minutes, still blocked.
Anyone had similar issue or know how this can be resolved?
Thank you for your patience.

In the application, there is no option to state visa was granted on 17th aug 2020. It’s just the option for the entry date. Shall I add a cover letter or something else to explain why we arrived late?
Thank you

This is not a technical support forum. Contact TLS if you have any issue with their systems

You do not need to tell the UKVI when your visa was issued. They know that already. All answers on the form just to help the caseworker in the right direction. The UKVI strictly relies on the data they have on their systems and the rules to make a decision, NOT on your answers on the form.
