Clarification on Combining Time Spent Under Different Occupation Codes for ILR Eligibility (Skilled Worker Route)

Hi All,
I am writing to seek clarification regarding my eligibility for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) under the Skilled Worker route.

I was previously employed under occupation code 6135 (Senior Care Workers) and held a Skilled Worker visa under this code for approximately two and a half years. I subsequently changed employers and began working with the NHS under occupation code 6131 (Health Professionals), continuing on a Skilled Worker visa without any break in lawful residence.

Could you please confirm whether the period I spent under occupation code 6135 can be combined with the time I am currently spending under occupation code 6131 toward the five-year qualifying period for ILR, considering that both roles fall under the Skilled Worker route?

I appreciate your guidance on this matter.
Thank you.

Yes, both periods can be combined.

There is no requirement that you should have one SOC only.
