English Test requirement for ILR following Spouse Visa

Hi all,
My wife is due to apply for ILR in Jan 2026 she currently has B1 English certificate will she need to now pass B2 instead for her ILR application ?

No. B1 is still the required level for ILR

Thanks, do you think there is a chance that it would be increased to B2 by Jan 2026 as suggested in the white paper ?
