ILR SET(O) Documents Upload

Hi Everyone,

Thanks so much for this forum ,I’ve literally managed most of my ILR application by reading the posts! 🙏
I’ve submitted my ILR (5 year Skilled Worker route) and have my appointment on Friday.

A few questions:
Visa history: 2.5 yrs Media Rep visa → 2.5 yrs Skilled Worker. Changed sponsor 2 months ago, with 2–3 months of job hunting in between. Do I need to explain this in a cover letter?
Continuous residence: No tenancy agreements Aug 2020 – Sept 2022. I can’t ask my ex (we’re not in contact). No bills or council tax either. I do have bank statements — would that be enough, or should I ask my old GP for a letter? How strict is this?
Absences: Took maternity leave abroad after my relationship breakdown, gone 175 days in one 12-month period. I’ll write a letter + attach divorce papers. Anything else I should include? On the form I also selected the option about explaining absences with “exceptionally harsh consequences.” Will that be an issue since I’m still under 180 days?
Checklist – It says: “Official documents (e.g. medical, birth or death certificates) for Ms xxxxx.” What exactly should I upload here?
Passports: Do I need to scan every page, including blank ones for ll the passports?
Life in the UK test: I entered the code when applying — do I need to upload anything else?
Media Rep visa (V60 form) and Employment Letter: I don’t have one, as the employer wasn’t HMRC registered we got paid from abroad. Do I need to provide any employment proof from that time? The company staff I knew have left, so it’s very difficult. What is recommended here?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Visa history: You do not need to explain anything in a cover letter. The UKVI knows the rules
Continuous residence: Do not invent your own requirements. You are not required to provide proof of address
Absences: Absences below the limits do not need explanations unless asked (see the employer letter requirements below)
Checklist: You did not provide any info, is it you ow is applying only ??
Passports: Scanning blank pages is pointless
Life in the UK test: There is nothing to upload
Media Rep visa (V60 form) and Employment Letter: Do not invent your own requirements. You do not need anything from past employers (see below)

Thank you Zimba, you are a legend! I hve already filled most of the things from your responses to others – perfect. So I do not need to prove continous residency by any means ?
I forgot to add one more question, my country is on the reciprocal agreements list for public funds, so I received Child Benefit.

The document checklist asks me to provide: “Documents to show the public funds I or anyone else who is part of this application received any time during the 12-month period prior to the date of my application, showing payment for each of the public fund(s) I or anyone else who is part of this application received. For example, this can include bank statements or letters.

The problem is that I can’t find the full 12 months because I changed my bank and no longer have access to the previous account. Is it okay if I upload 5–6 months of statements instead?

I am applying alone. I have a dependent daughter who was born in the UK. My plan is to apply for her naturalisation after I receive ILR, so we are not doing anything for her at this stage. After that, since she was born in the UK, I can apply for her British citizenship by registration (MN1 form) straight after my ILR is granted.

No you do not need to prove continuous residence. For benefits received, provide whatever you have. As you are applying alone, I am not sure why you are being asked for birth certificates, etc.
