ILR Application - Driving Licence 3 points & £100 FPN

Hi All,

I'm just checking to see people's experience with applying for ILR Set (O) and declaring the 3 points and £100 fine I got for a Fixed Penalty Notice earlier this year. This is the only time I have ever gotten a Fixed Penalty Notice. Based on everything I've read, the indication is for me to declare it, and the expectation is that it won't affect the application. Has that been people's experience or should I do anything differently?

The ILR form asks for motoring offences, so yes three points on the licence and fine paid need to be declared.

It doesn't have any negative impact on the ILR decision if the other requirements are met.

Thank you.

Do I need to write a cover letter to explain it or there's no need to draw too much attention to it?

The form already has a field for you to put the details of the offence, no need to add any cover letter.
