ILR Dependent Visa extension

I’m currently on a Skilled Worker visa and due to apply for my ILR in 2nd Feb (Visa end date 6 mar 2026).
My dependents is 40 days short of meeting the required time to apply with me.
I understand that I’ll need to extend their dependent visas based on my last CoS, which was for 2 years.

Could anyone please confirm whether I should apply for their visa extensions after submitting my ILR application or only after I’ve received my ILR approval?

Any insights or recent experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! 🙏

Previous Cos end Date is - 20 Feb 2026
Dependent Visa end date - 3 Mar 2026

What was the initial visa issue date of their initial visa?

Note that there is NO such visa called 'ILR Dependent'!!

Apply before their visas expire for ILR, either all of you together or you first and then dependents and delay their biometrics until they are within 28 days before 27th May.

They have 45 working days to enroll biometrics.

I dont think we can apply for ILR together as they are shortfall of around 2+ months.
If we apply together then their ILR will be rejected.

My query is specifice to - Can I extend their visa after getting my ILR or before?

You can apply for their extensions at the same time you apply for ILR or after you apply. It is a 3 year extension.

If you apply for them using standard service, you can vary their applications to ILR completing form SET O before a decision is made on the extension application. You will have to pay multiple fees, extension visa fee plus 3 year IHS for each applicant and then the ILR fee for each applicant.

So if I understand this correctly this is the way
1) I apply for ILR on 2 Feb and apply under priority so I can get decision in 1 week

2) Dependent apply for ILR on 5 March
3) Delay their biometric appointment say take it on 1 May which is 28 days before ILR
Hopefully they don't get rejected right

They qualify for ILR from the 29th April, which is 27th May minus 28.

That is only 36 working days from 7th March (not counting weekends or bank holidays).

Which is why I said apply for their ILR on the 6th or 7th March before visa expiry and delay biometrics by up to 45 working days.
