Hi All,

I started on Tier 2 general visa in November 2020 and subsequently moved to Skilled worked visa in JAN 2021. My husband and child moved to Skilled worker visa dependent in JAN 2021. My application is in process for ILR (date of entry - 27th November 2020).

My husband and child will complete 5 years on skilled worker visa (dependent) in Jan 2026 and they will be applying for ILR in Dec 2025. I have below queries for my husband -
1) Does my husband also need a letter from Employer? Assuming this is a standard reference letter (joining dates, role, salary etc)
2) We will be providing Schedule of absence excel for his time away from the UK in the last 5 years, but does he need his employer to detail out his unpaid leaves on a company letter head?

Thanks and Regards,
ID

1. No, his employment is irrelevant.

2. You need to complete his absence in the online form. Nothing else is needed.
